As of July 1st 2021, Solamet Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. has successfully acquired the Solamet® photovoltaic metallization paste business from DuPont. Solamet® is the global leading brand in providing pioneering and innovative photovoltaic metallization solutions and has been a reliable innovation partner within the global photovoltaic industry for 40 years.
Solamet has in-depth research and development capability, strong intellectual property portfolio, world-renowned brand presence, and well-recognized experiences and excellences in global operation and service. Solamet has R&D, manufacturing, and business facilities and teams in Shanghai, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Taiwan, United States, India and Malaysia, enabling us to deliver high quality products and services to our valued customers around the globe.

Solamet has been setting the pace of innovation in photovoltaic metallization for 40 years, enabling new solar cell technologies with various revolutionary benchmarking products. In the past 10 years, 150+ products have been introduced to the PV industry to significantly increase the solar panel power and to reduce the cost of solar power.
Solamet was born for achieving global carbon neutrality through advancing the efficiency and affordability of solar power.

    First screen printing metallization paste in the world

    First PV rear-side Ag/Al paste in 1983 for Arco Solar. And first PV front-side silver paste in 1987 for Solarex.

  • 1999

    First commercial fire-through silver metallization paste in the world

    Launched PV145, the world's first fire-through silver metallization paste for crystalline silicon solar cell.

  • 2009

    Launch PTF paste for low temperature process thin film solar cell

    Introduced PV41X series of conductive silver paste products suitable for low-temperature photovoltaic cell manufacturing process, e.g. thin film and HJT, offering excellent bulk conductivity, adhesion and solderability.

    Queen's Award for Enterprise presented to Solamet metallization technology

    Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category was honored for the continuous development of Solamet photovoltaic metallization paste, a key component in increasing the energy efficiency of solar cells. The Queen's Awards for Enterprise is the United Kingdom's most prestigious award for business performance.

    Revolutionary Pb-Te-O glass introduced to new front-side PV17x

    Introduced PV17x,a series of revolutionary conductive silver paste products based on the patented Pb-Te-O glass frit technology, enabled the mass production adoption of LDE cell technology and greatly improved the conversion efficiency of photovoltaic cells by 0.2-0.4%.

    First commercial Al paste for PERC enabling the new era of PERC solar cells

    Introduced world's first aluminum paste tailored designed for PERC and enabled the large-scale mass production of PERC cell technology.

    First commercial PERC tabbing paste with floating design

    Introduced PV56x tabbing paste incorporating novel floating glass frit designed to improve efficiency and adhesion performances.

    First metallization paste PV3N1 for N type front-side in the world

    Introduced PV3N1, the world's earliest mass production metallization paste solution for n-type solar cells.

    Exclusive IBC paste PV93x for SHARP

    Introduced the exclusive PV93X, an unique single paste solution that can simultaneously make contact to both the n and p regions, significantly simplified the production process for high efficiency IBC technology.

    Introduce Solamet® PERC metallization total package solution to market

    Introduced PV76S/PV36x/PV56x, the world's first total package of metallization solution to PERC solar cells.

    Solar+ Power award in PV Materials category by Solamet® PV19A

    Receiving 2015 Solar+ Power award in PV Materials category by Solamet® PV19A photovoltaic metallization paste, the first product in the PV19x series, is a front side silver paste based on proprietary Tellurium frit technology to optimize the efficiency with extreme Lightly Doped Emitters (LDEs) because it improves contact resistance by 10 fold. It enhances the power output of solar cells by enabling fine line printing down to 30 microns and demonstrating excellent paste transfer for improved line aspect ratios that minimizes the shading effect on the surface of the solar cells, while maintaining superior electrical conductivity.

    Solar Industry Award in the PV Materials category by Solamet® PV19x

    Solamet® was granted " Solar Industry Award" in the PV Materials category for its PV19x series of PV metallization pastes, designed to help boost the power output of solar panels, lower overall system costs and improve the return on investments in solar energy systems from 2015 European PV Solar Energy Conference held in Hamburg, Germany.

    First double-printing package PVD1X/PVD2X in the market

    Introduced PVD1X/PVD2X, a novel metallization package for double-printing in mass production use. PVD2X incorporates the floating design concept suitable for both double printing and later dual-printing technologies.

    First metallization paste total package for TOPcon

    Introduced PVD2x/PV3Nx/PV6N1 the world's first total package of metallization solution to TOPCon solar cells.

    2018 ACS award by Solamet® Pb-Te-O frit technology

    Solamet® Pb-Te-O frit technology is awarded the prestigious American Chemical Society Heroes of Chemistry Award for the outstanding contribution to the global photovoltaic industry.

    Develop dual printing busbar low cost solution by Ag content reduction

    Introduced PVD2B_x busbar product with different solids for dual printing application,enabling high adhesion with low cost solution for front-side metallization.

    The new journey of Solamet

    Solamet Electronic Materials Co., Ltd.  successfully acquired the Solamet® PV metallization paste business from DuPont and upgraded its company name under the Solamet® brand name globally.

    Unique low temperature metallization paste for HJT/Perovskite

    Develop novel low temperature paste for HJT/Perovskite solar cells, which enables fine line printing to save laydown and room temperature storage to be process friendly.
